What is Positive Behavior Support Systems (PBIS)?
PBIS is a framework for creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. It focuses on teaching expected behaviors, like being respectful, responsible, and safe. PBIS uses a proactive approach, meaning we clearly define what good behavior looks like in different areas of the school. We then celebrate and acknowledge students who make positive choices, helping them understand the connection between their actions and positive outcomes. PBIS also provides a system of support for all students, so everyone feels equipped to make good choices and thrive at school. Here at Clearview our Hawks SOAR, they are:
- Safe
- Organized
- Accountable
- Respectful
